Paul S. Zorner has served as the Chairman of the Board since 2008. Dr. Zorner is President and Chief Executive Officer of Hawai‘i BioEnergy in Honolulu. Prior to that, Paul was the Chief Scientific Officer and Executive Director of Principle Energy Limited, a venture oriented to establish sugarcane conversion to ethanol and power in Mozambique. Prior to joining PEL, Dr. Zorner held scientific development, operations and senior administrative positions with both start-up and Fortune 500 companies that include BASF, The Dow Chemical Company, Mycogen Corporation, Diversa Corporation, CellFor, and Telanetix. He is also an inventor with over 30 issued US patents. Dr. Zorner received his undergraduate degree from Lewis and Clark College in Ecology and Secondary Education and his Ph.D. in Botany and Plant Pathology from Colorado State University. |

Dr. Bogart has 20+ yrs experience as researcher, director, and entrepreneur in medical genetics and clinical cytogenetics. He spent many years as a genetics researcher at the University of California at San Diego and he was the Cytogenetics Director at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Dr. Bogart was also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Hawaii and he has over 50 scientific publications. Mark is currently President of Biomedical Patent Management. |

Mr. Pleus has more than 20 years of investment banking, investing, management and business operations experience in the green tech, agricultural bioscience, internet software, telecommunications, digital image distribution, and other industries. He started his career at Morgan Stanley, and during the last 10 years has focused on investment banking as well as principal investment roles. He is President of Whitney Holdings, Inc., which provides financial, strategic consulting, and advisory services to developing businesses, and he holds FINRA Series 62 and 63 securities licenses with Bedminster Financial Group, Ltd. Mr. Pleus earned SB and SM degrees from MIT and an MBA degree from Stanford University. |
